We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Technical Manager to support local energy projects across the South West of England.

 

The Technical Manager will advise and take the lead on a range of technical challenges for a variety of energy projects assisted by the South West Energy Hub, which has been set up with funding from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The successful candidate will use their knowledge and experience of the energy system, a range of deployed technologies, grid and planning requirements, feasibility and scheme design, to offer valuable input throughout the development process.  The post holder will work with a wider team of project and funding managers to define an offer of support for projects, co-ordinating addtional external technical resource as required.  

You will be adept at working with a range of stakeholders, communicating clearly and persuasively to enable projects to progress.

This position is offered on a two year fixed-term basis, secondments from other organisations will be considered. Flexible/part-time working arrangements will be also be considered, including flexible location within the SW Energy Hub area.
